ANOTHER AVENUE ON THE ROAD WITH NEW OB UNIT Another Avenue, the Dublin based independent television production company, has invested over €400,000.00 to create a bespoke Outside Broadcast (OB) Unit, dramatically enhancing the range of services available to their clients. Unveiled at the IRUPA awards at the Burlington Hotel, fully produced by Another Avenue, the OB Unit streamlines the set-up, production and on-site editing process – or ‘park and play’ as the Another Avenue team has christened it.
Suitable for use at almost any type of event, from sporting to music and theatrical to corporate, the OB Unit has been designed to the exacting specifications of a production team with a collective 45 years experience in the Television and Audio Visual production profession. Capable of managing five full High Definition camera units and 24 channels of sound, the OB Unit rivals the capabilities of much larger Broadcast trucks, enabling filming and producing video in full High Definition, at a fraction of the usual cost.
Founded in 2003 by Mark Wooderson and Sharyn Mitchell, Another Avenue is an independent television production company, headquartered in Dublin with a satellite office in Bangor. Unique in the Irish marketplace for being a full-service company, Another Avenue produce, film and edit for corporate and commercial productions as well as broadcast television series, having worked on programmes such as RTE’s ‘The Restaurant’, ‘Fáilte Towers’ and TG4’s ‘Aon Scéal’.
